Your San Francisco City Hall Civil Ceremony Guide
October 14, 2022San Francisco has so many iconic spots, and I’m sure you’ve noticed them over the years on popular sitcoms and in famous movies. One of the reasons that San Francisco is such a popular destination for weddings and elopements is that many people feel like they already know us, having grown up with our city as the backdrop on their big and small screens!
A and K felt this way, and then each moved to San Francisco after college to start their careers. They met online, and their first date was a picnic at Alamo Square Park, home of the famous “Full House” Victorian row houses.
They chose to have their wedding on the 4th Floor of Gallery North at San Francisco City Hall. Most people don’t think a City Hall wedding can be a “real wedding,” but that’s not true at our favorite venue. If you’re interested in booking this space, it’s $1000 for an hour, and you can rent chairs for your guests. Check the link below to see if your date and time are available!

When I look at the beautiful small wedding photographs from their wedding, I see so many elements of a traditional wedding but modified for their smaller space and event time. For example, the bride and groom walked down the aisle with their parents, had a wedding party, and even had the first dance at the altar when they sealed the deal with a kiss!
After all the family portraits and couples photography at San Francisco City Hall, it was time to head out into the city for my favorite part of the day. A and K had asked me for cityscape wedding photography with views and recreating the moment they met for the first time. As they gazed over the Victorian houses, they both said it was such an incredible Déjà vu moment for them, and they were happy that they’d come back to the park on their intimate wedding day.
