San Francisco has so many iconic spots, and I'm sure you've noticed them over the years on popular sitcoms and in famous movies. One of the reasons that San Francisco is such a popular destination for weddings and elopements, is that many people feel like they already know us, having grown up with our city as the backdrop on their big and small screens!
Now that we're moving forward, there are a lot of couples that got married in the last few years but didn't get to take the wedding pictures that they'd really wanted, while other couples might want to do a vow renewal for a milestone year, or schedule an anniversary session. If there's one thing in my mind that stands out as the most significant wedding trend to come out of the last few years (silver lining!!) it's the elopement trend. Not only is it a more intimate way to incubate your newborn marital status in a way that a three hundred person event could never hope to do, but by now, your friends and family have probably known countless other couples that have done the same thing and the shame and taboo of the word "elopement" have all but floated away in the San Francisco fog.
I'm very excited to introduce a new section of our blog and a new team member! Starting this year, I've been training our team of photographers by my side at San Francisco City Hall. It's our home base as a photography company and after eleven years of serving couples here, I feel like I had to share my knowledge with each member of the team.
